Meet Andromeda “Andi” | A Gentle Soul! Andi is a stunning brown tabby with beautiful green eyes and a calm, independent personality. She is a thoughtful girl who enjoys taking in her surroundings, finding cozy spots to relax, and observing the world around her. One of the most endearing things about Andi is that she has quietly built her own routines around her foster family. She follows her foster to the bathroom almost every day. She sleeps on the bed each night, never demanding attention but always nearby. Affection from Andi tends to arrive on her terms, which makes it feel all the more special. She isn’t a fan of being picked up or carried and will politely remove herself from the situation if someone insists. When she does want attention, she’ll often announce it with the tiniest little meow. While she may not spend her days glued to people, Andi has plenty of interests. She loves catnip and becomes noticeably more playful when it’s involved. Hair ties, bottle caps, straws, and other small treasures are all fair game. Her signature move is batting an object under a rug and then launching a full investigation to recover it, often flipping the rug, or herself, in the process. Food is another one of Andi’s favorite things. She enjoys free feeding and happily checks in whenever meals are refreshed. Andi currently shares her home with nine other cats, including her brother Orion. She does wonderfully in a multi-cat environment and has no trouble sharing space, resources, or daily life with other felines. That said, she’s not the cat organizing group activities. While some cats are constantly seeking out wrestling partners, nap buddies, or social circles, Andi tends to enjoy her own company. She’s perfectly happy knowing the other cats are nearby while spending most of her time pursuing her own interests. Because she values her independence so much, we think Andi would be happiest as an only pet or in a home with another calm, respectful cat who understands that friendship doesn’t always require sharing every nap. She isn’t looking for constant companionship from other animals, she simply appreciates a peaceful environment where she can be herself. Andi is also FHV-1 positive (Feline Herpesvirus). FHV-1 is extremely common in cats and is very manageable. Most cats with FHV-1 live completely normal, happy lives, though they may occasionally experience mild symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, or congestion during times of stress. With routine veterinary care and a stable home environment, cats with FHV-1 typically do wonderfully. Living with Andi won’t be about having a shadow that follows your every move. It will be about sharing your space with a thoughtful companion who quietly becomes part of your daily life. The cat on the bathroom windowsill. The tiny meow asking for pets. The familiar figure sleeping nearby each night. The straw that mysteriously disappears from your drink because someone decided it looked more fun on the floor. Andi is ready to bring her calm presence, tiny meow, and wonderfully unique personality to a home of her own! Apply to Adopt Her Here: Questions?
