Archie Pocket Size Party Planner is a sweet, leggy little guy with two equally lovable sides. Archie is young, petite and currently weighs a perfect 25lbs. We think he may be a Whippet/Pit Bull Terrier mix, but breed is always our best guess with rescue dogs. Whatever his DNA says, he is sleek, athletic and built like a miniature running partner. Other dogs are one of Archie’s favorite things and he loves to play chase, wrestle and keep the fun moving. His play style is enthusiastic and physical, so his best canine match would be a confident, playful dog who enjoys the same rough-and-rowdy approach. A well-matched playmate could be a wonderful source of companionship, confidence and exercise for him. Archie is also cat-friendly and has lived with a cat in his foster home. When he met our house cat, the two became immediate friends! He will likely want to play, so an interactive, dog-social cat would be his ideal match. Even in his excitement, Archie was mindful of his petite body, kept his invitations friendly, and knows how to take breaks. For all his confidence, he is still a gorowing and learninng pup so we have seen occasions where his approach is cautious and slow. He may need a little encouragement when first leaving his crate, getting out of the car or stepping into an unfamiliar space. A little sweet talk and he easily remembers that life is good! He is never short on sweetness, he simply likes a moment to understand what is happening. Once settled, Archie is friendly, affectionate and eager to be part of everything. Archie is house and crate trained, rides well in the car and has a nice foundation of basic leash skills. He may occasionally pause when something feels unfamiliar or pull excitedly when he spots a familiar canine friend. At his young age, he is still learning, growing and figuring out the world, and continued positive experiences will help his confidence keep pace with his playful spirit. An active home would be a fantastic match for Archie. He has the athleticism to join you on morning runs or just tagging along for hikes or walks to the bus. Older children who can participate in his training and appreciate his fun play style would likely be the best fit.
