Bogey Boogaloo is a short-legged, big-headed, squishy little nugget who somehow packed every wonderful quality imaginable into one ridiculously cute body. He has the perfect puppy dog eyes, an affectionate and outgoing personality, and a face that makes it nearly impossible not to fall in love with him immediately. Bogey is social, silly, incredibly loving, and genuinely one of those dogs we cannot find a single bad thing to say about. Personality-wise, he is perfection. That is all. Watch his video and fall in love with this big-headed little heartthrob: Bogey is approximately 1 year old and currently weighs around 51 pounds. We believe he may be an American Bulldog and Boxer mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Do not let his pictures fool you into thinking he is a tall, massive dog. This boy is built like an adorable little tank with short legs, a sturdy body, and one gloriously oversized head. Bogey is currently fostered in a busy home filled with children, dogs, cats, men, women, and plenty of activity, and he handles it all like an absolute dream. One of the youngest children in his foster home is only 19 months old, and Bogey is incredibly gentle, tolerant, and loving with her. He plays with the kids, cuddles beside them, and happily participates in all the everyday family fun. Of course, when a toddler walks by holding a snack at perfect Bogey height, he may see an opportunity that is simply too good to resist, but can you really blame him? Outside of the occasional snack heist, his foster cannot say enough wonderful things about how amazing he is with her children. We believe Bogey would make a fantastic companion for a family with kids. He is also wonderfully dog friendly and currently shares his foster home with several other dogs. Bogey has done great with every dog we have introduced him to, including smaller dogs. He loves to wrestle, play chase, and have a good old-fashioned romp with his friends, but he also understands when it is time to take a break and settle down. He attends doggy daycare regularly and has done beautifully there too. Bogey met our house cat appropriately and currently lives with a cat in his foster home, making him a wonderful option for many different types of families. This boy is as well-rounded as he is adorable. Bogey is potty trained, and his foster considers him fully reliable in the home. He is also crate trained and described as perfect in his crate. He walks well on a leash, rides wonderfully in the car, knows how to sit, and is eager to work for treats. He loves toys, especially stuffed squeaky toys, and is perfectly capable of keeping himself entertained when his people are busy. Bogey is the definition of a social butterfly. His foster family takes him everywhere, including the doggy daycare they own, dog shows, breweries, and other outings. He is friendly with everyone, loves being included, and can comfortably roll with just about any situation. He would thrive with a social family who wants a dog they can take along for the fun, although he is not asking to spend every weekend climbing mountains. He could absolutely live in an apartment as long as his family is committed to getting him outside, giving him opportunities to socialize, and letting him experience the world. He does not need endless adventure, but he would not be happy spending his life tucked away from everyone either. Bogey wants to be part of the action, whether that means visiting a brewery, playing with canine friends, watching the kids in the backyard, or curling up beside his people at the end of the day. Bogey Boogaloo is affectionate, social, squishy, hilarious, and almost suspiciously perfect. He can live with kids, dogs, and cats, has wonderful house manners, and is ready to tag along wherever life takes his family. Honestly, just look at him. Those short legs, that big ole head, and those irresistible puppy dog eyes are only the beginning of everything there is to love about this truly special boy.
