Watch her video and you'll be smitten: At approximately 4 months old and 27 pounds, Bonnie is our best guess at a Pittie/Lab mix but with animal rescue, it's always a mystery! Whatever breeds make up this adorable girl, one thing is certain: she's got both the looks and the personality to steal hearts everywhere she goes. Bonnie is the definition of a social butterfly. She's sweet, affectionate, gentle, and absolutely adores people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch after a long day or spending time outside, Bonnie is happiest when she's with her humans. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy, you've officially found one. This girl is a total cuddle bug and will happily soak up every bit of love and attention you have to give. She's also done wonderfully with children and has previously spent time around kids, including a five-year-old, where she was loving and gentle. Bonnie truly has the kind of personality that fits into so many different types of families. Bonnie currently lives with two other dogs and has been a wonderful canine roommate. Like most puppies, she loves to play and can be a little rough-and-rowdy with dogs who enjoy that play style, but she's also incredibly respectful. If another dog tells her they've had enough, she listens and backs off. She shares toys, treats, and even attention beautifully, making her a fantastic candidate for a home with another playful dog looking for a best friend. She has also met a cat and showed more curiosity than anything else. She was interested in following and watching the cat and would likely need an overnight cat test. We think a confident cat willing to set boundaries could help teach Bonnie the ropes since she has shown she responds well to corrections from both people and other dogs. After all, she's still a puppy and learning something new every day. Speaking of learning... Bonnie is one smart cookie. She's highly food motivated, eager to learn, and already knows "sit." She's currently working on "touch" and is learning how to lure into a down. She walks nicely on a leash, is very trainable, and truly gives new meaning to the phrase "beauty and brains." Her foster says Bonnie has done great with potty training, has wonderful house manners, and does very well in her crate. She'll even let you know when she needs to go outside by whining to be let out. One of our favorite things about Bonnie is just how adaptable she is. She has a wonderful balance of energy where she'd happily join an active family on adventures but is just as content curling up next to you for a nap afterward. Because of her easygoing personality, we think she could do well in an apartment with an active family committed to daily exercise or in a home with a fenced backyard where she can stretch her legs. Bonnie is one of those puppies who just makes life a little brighter. She's happy, loving, eager to learn, wonderful with people, and overflowing with affection.
