He is approximately two month old and does not even weigh 6 pounds yet. Based on the size of those paws, though, we have a feeling he is going to be a big boy when he is all grown up! We believe he may be a Husky mix, but with animal rescue, breeds are always a mystery and never an exact science. Bruiser is currently being fostered with his sister, and the two of them love playing together. There is also a Pug in the home, and Bruiser is happily learning the ropes from his big foster “brother.” He loves toys and proudly carries them around like each one is his newest prized possession. For such a young puppy, Bruiser is already showing everyone just how smart he is. His foster was shocked by how quickly he learned to use puppy pads! He is also beginning to learn what a crate is and currently sleeps in one at night. He is still just a baby, so his future family will need to continue working on crate training, potty training, boundaries, and daily socialization as he grows. Bruiser came from one of the most at-risk regions in the country. Texas is in a state of crisis, with overcrowded shelters being forced to make heartbreaking decisions every day.
