The kind that feels like your best friend from the very beginning, like she’s already been a part of your life, just waiting for you to find her. She’s the dog who’s ready to go anywhere and everywhere with you, who makes even the most ordinary errands feel more fun, and then at the end of the day turns into your personal snuggly queen. She checks all of the boxes. She is dog friendly, kid friendly, loves car rides, smart, and the list goes on and on. Chanel Belle isn’t just a good dog… she’s that dog. The one people hope they find. Watch her video and get a glimpse of what your life could look like with Chanel in it: Chanel Belle is believed to be a pittie/boxer mix approximately 4.5 years old and around 60lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it's always a mystery, and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do think she may have some sort of boxer or bully type breed somewhere in there because she has a cute little under bite that pokes out from time to time. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but trust us when we say it does not take long for her to turn into your little shadow and lover girl. One of the ways to her heart is through treats, ear scratches, and really just quality time. Little by little, she's inching her way closer to you, politely asking for gentle pets, and next thing you know she’s nuzzling her head into you for all the love. She is the type of gal that thrives on connections with her people and once she loves and trusts you, this beauty will do anything for you. Give her a little patience in the beginning, and you'll find that you've gained your soul dog. Chanel is the definition of the perfect balance. She’s got that happy, playful energy when it’s time to get up and do something, whether that’s a walk, a little adventure, a beach day, or tagging along to your favorite spots but she’s not nonstop or overwhelming. She’s the kind of dog who can go out and do it all with you, and then come home, stretch out on the couch or cool tile, and just be. About 75% of her day is spent lounging, recharging, and keeping things peaceful. She adapts effortlessly to whatever your day looks like, making her such an easy, natural fit into everyday life. She’s incredibly smart, the fun kind of smart that makes you want to interact with her all the time. She picks things up quickly and genuinely enjoys learning, which makes her not only easy to train but also really engaging to live with. And speaking of training… Chanel already knows sit, walks well on a leash, and her foster has even worked with her to be able to walk off leash too while they are out exploring. She never strays too far, always in sight and listens when her foster calls for her. Chanel has great manners and thrives when there’s a clear routine. She is also crate trained and potty trained as well. Chanel wants to be a good dog, and it shows in everything she does. Her goal is to make you happy. In the home, Chanel is exactly what people are looking for but rarely find. She’s trustworthy, not destructive, and has solid potty habits. She’s great in a crate, settles easily, and knows how to just exist peacefully in your space. She’s the kind of dog you can truly relax with. No constant managing, no chaos, just a really good companion by your side. Affection-wise, she’s perfect. She loves attention, enjoys being loved on, and will absolutely hop into your lap for a few minutes of snuggles… but she’s not overly clingy. She’s connected without being overwhelming. She’ll check in, get her love, and then happily go lay nearby. Always close, always part of things. Chanel is dog friendly and has been around a variety of different dogs all with different personalities and temperaments. She is not the overly playful type with other dogs and is more of a relaxed hangout type of girly that prefers to get attention from people. She is happy to be around dogs that have the same cool, calm, collected tempo as her. Chanel also appreciates being around dogs that give her space at the beginning to get to know them first. She's a polite and respectful gal that likes for the same energy to be reciprocated. Once’s she’s comfortable, she does the cutest little play bows and loves to zoom around with her new friend in light hearted games of chase. Chanel is also currently fostered in a home with two medium sized dogs, both male and female, and they get along great together! They share beds, toys, bully stix, and have have the best time exploring with each other. In a home, she would do best with a mellow male dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, will give her a little time in the beginning to get to know them, enjoys more chase type play rather than physical wrestle type play, and wants a doggy friend like Chanel to explore with. She'll be perfect for that and something special! Chanel would also do best in a home with no cats as she was a little too interested in our house cat Biggie. She’s also been around kids (ages 1–8) and has done really well with all of them. She is a total wiggle butt while also being gentle, affectionate, and happy to be part of the family dynamic. She would be an amazing fit for a semi-active family who wants a dog that can keep up with the fun and then wind down together at the end of the day. She’ll also be your kid’s best friend as well! Chanel is also incredibly social and people-friendly. She’s been out to nature trails, the beach, Home Depot, and friends’ homes, and she handles it all with curiosity and confidence. She’s the kind of dog you can take to patios, coffee shops, farmers markets, wherever life takes you and she’ll be right there, soaking it all in. She rides great in the car (sunroof head-out moments included) and truly just enjoys being included. That’s her thing, being part of your world. Chanel’s ideal home is one where she’s included. Not just a dog in the background, but a true companion. Someone who wants a dog they can take on errands, bring along on adventures, include in plans, and then come home and relax with. She’s that ride-or-die best friend who’s just happy to be wherever you are. She would do great in a home with a backyard with a semi-active family, a young couple, or even with a single person.
