Meet Chisel — the tough, blue-collar kind of dog built for a blue-collar home. This seasoned gentleman is a fierce protector of the people he loves. He’s got that old-school, no-nonsense personality and takes his job seriously. While loyal to the core, Chisel prefers a quiet life and would absolutely rather be a stray than a babysitter — kids just aren’t his thing. He’s looking for an adult home that respects his space and appreciates a dog with a little grit and a lot of heart. Chisel would thrive with a working-class family where he can spend his days lounging around the property, keeping an eye on things, maybe scaring off a few birds, deer, or even giving the mailman a good “announcement bark.” When the day winds down, all he really wants is a peaceful evening, a steady routine, and a few classic pats from his favorite people. This older boy is trained and housebroken. He knows his “sit,” “shake,” and “lay down” — though in true old-man fashion, he believes work should come with fair compensation. If a reward is visible, he’s happy to clock in. Chisel isn’t flashy. He isn’t looking for chaos. He’s looking for peace, quiet, loyalty, and a home where he can stand guard and then settle in beside his person at the end of the day. If you’re searching for a steady, protective companion with a little cranky charm and a whole lot of devotion, Chisel might just be your guy.
