Meet Cyrus The Senior's Sweetheart! If you’re looking for a sweet sidekick who’s as go-with-the-flow as he is cute, Cyrus is your perfect match! Morning walk? Cool beans. Couch nap? Even better. He’s just happy to be included. Add in the freckles on his face, big brown eyes, and floppy ears, and he’s very easy to love. Cyrus loves people, and he is just as sweet with children as he is with older adults. He lives with an older woman and is wonderfully gentle with her, matching her pace, staying close by, and happily watching the action while she goes about her day. He would be an amazing friend for an older person, a family with kids, or anyone in between. He loves affection and shows it with gentle kisses and leaning in for hugs. He won’t overload you with kisses, just the right amount. He is used to staying in his kennel while his foster mom is at work from 8 to 5, and she says he does perfectly fine. He is very dog friendly. He lives with a smaller 30 lb older dog and gets along great with her, has enjoyed fostered puppies, and does well with a 10 lb senior dog too. He has a goofy, bouncy play style and is tolerant of rambunctious tumbling. A happy-go-lucky dog friend would be a good match, but he doesn’t need one. He’s a loving guy all on his own. Cyrus knows basic commands like sit and is eager to please. He takes treats gently and isn’t picky. He walks easily on a leash and isn’t bothered by passing people, distant dogs, or loud lawn mowers, so he would be a great companion for farmers markets and coffee shop trips. He is crate and potty trained with wonderful house manners. A home with a backyard is recommended, where he can stretch his legs, keep you company while you garden, and sunbathe. He is a medium-energy fella with a playful side and a calm couch-potato soul. A semi-active household that enjoys walks and a snuggle bug at the end of the day would suit him best.
