Groot Right Beside You has a favorite place, and it’s wherever you are. This sweet older gentleman will nestle his head into you, give you gentle kisses, and happily settle in for as much affection as you have to offer. Hands busy? That’s okay. He’ll gaze at you adoringly, perfectly content to wait until you’re available. There’s no impatient nudging- just a very loving face letting you know that whenever you’re ready, he is too. Go watch Groot on YouTube to see his gentle kisses, sweet snuggles, and the way he looks at his people. You’ll understand pretty quickly why it’s hard to stop loving on him. Copy and paste his YouTube link into your browser: Groot is estimated to be eight or nine years old, and we believe he’s a Pit Bull mix, though his age and breed are our best guesses. He’s a retired gentleman with a simple wish list: a comfortable place to rest, some yummy snackies, and someone who enjoys being adored. He brings very little hustle to the household. Groot is an easygoing, low-energy boy who is happy to spend a quiet afternoon beside you. He has excellent couch potato potential and is very respectful of the couch itself. His approach to togetherness is gentle; he wants to be close, enjoy your company, and tuck his head into you when there’s an opening for a snuggle. Groot has a bestie named Dypso, and they could be adopted together if you happen to have room for two sweet companions. He would also be happy as your only dog or alongside another easygoing, low-energy friend. A pal who enjoys a little companionship followed by a nice long rest would be much more his speed than a busy playmate. He has great basic leash skills and enjoys an outing at a leisurely pace. Getting into the car takes a little boost, but once he’s aboard, he’s a lovely passenger. He’ll lie down in the back seat and let you handle the driving. A little help getting there is well worth having such sweet company along for the ride. Groot is ready for a home where he can get comfortable, settle into a peaceful routine, and be loved every day. He doesn’t need a packed calendar. A gentle walk, a good snack, and an evening beside his person would suit him beautifully. And if that evening includes a few extra kisses, he is happy to deliver them. Apply to adopt Groot: Questions?
