Some dogs have big personalities that fill the room. Herbie doesn't need to do any of that. He'll quietly make his way over, climb into your lap, lean into you for a cuddle, and before you know it, you'll be wondering how you ever lived without him. He's one of those dogs that's simply easy to love. Sweet, gentle, happy, and incredibly grateful for every bit of affection he gets, Herbie isn't looking for much out of life... just a soft place to nap and people to love. Watch his video and prepare to fall in love with this distinguished little gentleman: https://youtube.com/shorts/f4484wWuRtI?feature=share Herbie is believed to be approximately 5 years old and currently weighs about -- pounds. As with any rescue dog, his exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is he's a Chihuahua mix. Whatever combination created him also gave him the sweetest personality and the cutest little body to match. If you're looking for an easygoing companion, Herbie checks just about every box. He's calm, affectionate, and happiest simply spending time with his people. Whether you're reading a book, watching TV, working from home, or enjoying a quiet evening on the couch, Herbie is more than happy to be right there with you. He's the definition of a lap dog and never seems to take love and attention for granted. His foster shared that her favorite thing about him is just how sweet and cuddly he is, along with the way he seems so genuinely grateful to be loved. It's one of those qualities that's hard to describe until you experience it yourself. Herbie has lived in a foster home with several other dogs of all different sizes and energy levels, and he's been an absolute gentleman. While the younger, more playful dogs are busy wrestling and zooming around the house, Herbie's usually content sitting nearby, watching the fun, or doing his own thing. He's friendly with other dogs but doesn't feel the need to be in the middle of all the excitement. Herbie loves toys as much as your lap! He will pounce and romp around with a stuffy or ball with a BIG smile on his face. He also loves treats and always takes them gently like the polite little gentleman he is. Because of Herbie's adaptable nature, he has the potential to thrive in an apartment or a home with a fenced yard. He truly isn't picky. As long as he has people who love him, a comfy place to curl up, and a family to call his own, he'll be one happy little guy.
