Milo Low Rider has the body of a big black Lab and legs that appear to have stopped growing halfway through the assignment. All 71 pounds of him sits adorably close to the ground, and when he stretches out into his perfect sploot, it’s hard to imagine a better use of those little legs. Except, perhaps, scooting closer for back scratches. He’s very good at that, too. Go watch Milo on YouTube to see this handsome low rider bounce around with his friends, soak up love, and put those little legs to work. Copy and paste this link into your browser to see his video! Milo is estimated to be six years old, and we’re guessing he’s a Labrador Retriever mix, though his age and breed are our best guesses. He’s a grown fellow with a happy, easygoing approach to life- enjoy the company, accept the treats, and find somewhere comfortable to relax. He’s fostered in a loving home with dogs of all sizes and personalities, from little to big and playful to lazy. Milo fits right in. He’s lovely meeting new dogs on leash and off, greeting them with a loose body and friendly manners. He’ll bounce around and join the fun, then happily move along with his day. A dog friend who enjoys a little activity and plenty of simply being together would be a lovely match. He could also happily soak up the attention as an only dog. And cats? Milo is a gentleman! He lives wonderfully with cats in his foster home, and we got to see those manners ourselves when he met our house cat. Running cat, jumping cat- it was all perfectly fine with Milo. He stayed loose, friendly, and softly playful, giving the cat room without getting rough or pushy. There was something especially sweet about watching this big, low-to-the-ground boy be so gentle with his smaller acquaintance. With new people, Milo starts with a polite hello and takes a few minutes to get acquainted. Give him a little sweet talk, and soon he’ll be inching closer to see whether you have any extra love available. Back scratches are a particular favorite. Once your hand finds the right spot, you'll know because one of those short little back legs will get to kicking in appreciation. Outside, Milo has another talent that deserves recognition: the kickies! This boy’s little back feet can really get going when he kicks up the dirt. His form is impressive, his enthusiasm is sincere, and anyone standing behind him may leave with a little dirt in their shoes if you don't get out of the debris zone fast enough. Consider it part of the Milo experience. He’s also a great car companion and can load himself up despite his wonderfully unusual proportions. A ride with his person, a leisurely outing, and a cozy place to rest afterward would suit him beautifully. Milo would fit into a wide variety of homes where the pace leaves plenty of room for relaxing. His ideal plans involve a comfortable spot near you, some scritchy-scratchies, a few treats, and all the sweet talk you care to offer. He brings lovely manners, easy company, and a very cute little bounce to everyday life. If your idea of a good companion comes with a big body, little legs, and a strong appreciation for the leisure life, Milo Low Rider would love to meet you.
