Some dogs are built for speed. Some dogs are built for adventure. Morty Mello appears to have been built primarily for comfort. This giant-headed marshmallow of a dog has perfected the art of relaxing. He has the face of a teddy bear, the soul of a cozy throw pillow, and the personality of that friend who's always saying, "No rush, we'll get there when we get there." Everything about Morty feels easy. Being around him is easy. Loving him is easy. Honestly, he's the kind of dog that makes you want to put on a movie, grab a blanket, and spend the rest of the afternoon doing absolutely nothing together. Watch his video and fall in love with this squishy marshmallow: Mory Mello is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 6 years old and currently weighs 75 lbs and is as gentle as they come. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Morty is dog friendly and is the chill guy enjoying the sunshine and doing his own thing in the yard. He doesn't mind if other dogs are running around, nor is he bothered if he gets accidentally bumped into. He'll just stand there for a second and then casually walk away completely unphased. Although he's not a super playful guy, he has been in playgroups with upwards of six dogs and is completely unbothered by dogs playing around him, running around, getting in his face, all of that. He is simply happy to hang out and watch the other dogs have their fun. In a home, Morty would do best with another dog about his size (no little friends for this guy) that shares his cool, calm, and collected outlook on life. A doggy friend that isn't looking for a wrestling partner and is more interested in relaxing alongside him. If you don't have another dog, that's perfectly fine too. Morty does not need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable or fulfill his energy needs. He's naturally a low-energy guy who is perfectly content soaking up attention from his people. Morty would also do best in a kitty free home. Morty would love a home with a backyard where he can sunbathe whenever he wants, roll around in the grass, and investigate all the good smells. We could also see him doing well in an apartment. He's quiet in his crate, walks beautifully on leash, and wouldn't be bothered by passing dogs in apartment hallways. Every time I see him in his kennel, this big boy is sprawled out sideways in the most relaxed position imaginable. It makes me laugh every time. He has wonderful house manners and is fully potty trained. He'll make an excellent work-from-home companion, a lazy Sunday movie marathon date, and an easygoing buddy for leisurely neighborhood strolls. He's a simple man who doesn't ask for much. Give him some love, a comfy place to nap, and a family to call his own and he'll be one happy guy. If you're looking for a dog that is sweet, low-maintenance, dog friendly, affectionate, and about as easygoing as they come, Morty might just be your perfect match.
