Nena Belle doesn’t need big, bouncy introductions to steal your heart. She just scoots a little closer, leans into you, and looks up with those big brown eyes like being loved by you is the very best part of her day. This itty bitty pittie has the softest heart, and when she melts into your arms, good luck convincing yourself you have anywhere else to be. Of course, with animal rescue, breed is always a bit of a mystery! What we do know is that this little girl is packed with sweetness. She can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her loving personality to peek through. Give her a little time and kindness, and soon she’s leaning against you for affection, soaking up every gentle touch. The way she looks at you is enough to make you feel like the most special person in the room. She’s a gentle soul who seems happiest when she can simply be close to someone. Nena is dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we’ve introduced her to. She’s gentle and calm around her canine friends, perfectly happy to sit back and watch everyone else romp around. While the other dogs are busy with their games of chase, Nena is quite content claiming a spot near her person and enjoying the show. She could be a lovely companion for a dog who appreciates an easygoing friend. And then there’s her treat-taking technique, which deserves a little moment of its own. Nena knows how to sit and is very treat motivated, but instead of delicately picking a treat from your fingers, she gently gathers your hand into her mouth along with it. Picture a soft little mouth carefully wrapping around your fingers, as though she needs to collect the whole delivery to make sure she gets her snack. It’s gentle, a little silly, and completely precious. From what we’ve seen so far, Nena appears familiar with a crate and seems to understand where the appropriate potty places are. Her love of treats will be a wonderful way to keep building those good habits as she settles into a home. This easygoing girl has the potential to do well in an apartment or a home with a backyard. Her biggest wish is pretty simple: someone to love her, a cozy place beside them, and plenty of opportunities to lean in for another cuddle.
