Ollie Goose is the kind of handsome that makes you do a double take. Icy blue eyes, fluffy ears, the cutest little black freckles scattered across his nose, and somehow an even sweeter personality to match. Ollie is affectionate, silly, fun, and just an all-around good boy who can happily join you for an adventure one minute and curl up with the rest of the crew when it is time to relax. He really is the best of both worlds. Watch Ollie’s video and fall in love with those baby blues: Ollie is approximately 1 year old, weighs 46 lbs, and is believed to be an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. With animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Whatever his mix may be, it certainly gave him one incredibly unique look! Ollie is dog friendly and has done great with the dogs we have introduced him to. He is currently fostered in a home with other dogs AND a cat and gets along wonderfully with all of his foster family’s personal animals. When meeting a new dog, Ollie appreciates a second to get comfortable rather than having another dog immediately rush up wanting to play. He is just a sweet guy who likes a polite introduction! Once he settles in, he absolutely enjoys playing and will happily join in on games of chase or some good old-fashioned wrestling. At home, his softer side really comes out, and his foster family often catches him snuggled up with their dogs and even the cat. People are definitely Ollie’s thing too. He is incredibly affectionate and loves being around his humans. He has such a fun, silly personality while still having that sweet, cuddly side that makes him easy to fall in love with. He is happy to be included in whatever you are doing, whether that means getting outside and having some fun or simply hanging out together at home. Ollie is crate trained and has generally done very well in his crate. He is also potty trained and has great house manners. This smart boy already knows how to sit AND shake, especially when treats are involved! He enjoys playing with toys, loves a good chew bone, and is very treat motivated, which should make continuing his training both fun and rewarding. We think Ollie would thrive with a semi-active family who wants a dog they can actually do life with. If hiking, exploring, or weekend adventures are your thing, Ollie would be more than happy to come along. He is even already joining his foster dad on runs, so he has great potential to be a running buddy too! He could live in an apartment with someone committed to giving him the exercise, enrichment, and continued training an active young dog needs. And when it is time for a road trip, Ollie is ready. He rides great in the car, hops right in without any issues, and if the drive is long enough, he will settle in and fall asleep for the ride. Ollie has that perfect combination of adventure buddy, cuddle buddy, and goofy best friend all wrapped into one very handsome package. Between those icy blue eyes, fluffy ears, freckled little nose, and genuinely sweet personality, this boy has so much to love. He is ready for a family who will let him be part of the fun, give him all the snuggles, and show him just how good life can be.
