Petunia Follow Me has a way of making every new discovery feel like a little adventure together. In her foster home, she’s often the first puppy to explore, with the others following her lead. At about six months old, Petunia is still learning about the world. She looks a bit like an extra-large Dachshund but our best guess is that she may be a Dachshund and Rottweiler. No science, just observation. in her foster home, she lives with other dogs and is outgoing and confident in familiar surroundings. Her foster says she’s often the first to try something new, with the other puppies following her lead. New places and unfamiliar dogs can take Petunia a little more time. She does best with calm introductions and looks to her people for reassurance while she gets comfortable. Once she does, she seeks out connection and shows off more of the affectionate, lively puppy her foster knows. She is actively working on all the basics including leash walks but because she is growing and learning she will need continued training once she arrives home. Petunia has plenty of growing and learning ahead of her, and she already has two lovely things going for her- a curious spirit and a habit of looking to her person to make sure she is on track and keeping your happy. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
