Pixie is our Founder and Director’s FAVORITE dog in the entire program. This is true! Out of over 900 animals! Our kids ages 5 and 8 also completely adore Pixie. Her smile is everything. She is in a foster home and has proven to be crate trained and potty trained, and easy to have around. Pixie is the kind of dog who can brighten your day the moment she walks into the room. With her adorable floppy ears, goofy grin, and happy-go-lucky personality, she has a special way of making people smile without even trying. She's affectionate, playful, and completely devoted to her humans—the kind of dog who loves with her whole heart. At three years old, Pixie is believed to be a Pit Bull. She has the pittie smile to prove it. She’s full of life and always ready for fun, whether that means playing fetch, carrying around her favorite toy, enjoying a game of tug, or zooming around the yard. Once she's had some exercise, she's just as happy to curl up on the couch and soak up all the cuddles she can get. People are Pixie's favorite thing. She hasn’t met a stranger. She loves meeting new friends, welcomes attention, and happily leans in for pets, hugs, and booty scratches. She thrives on companionship and would love a family that includes her in everyday life. If you're looking for a loyal shadow who wants to be by your side, Pixie is your girl. She will happily chase lizards while you do yard work, or ride along for errands. She’s an easy tag-along. Pixie has has received training at the rescue and has done so well. She walks nicely on a gentle leader and has attended professional training, where she learned valuable skills and gained confidence in public settings and pack walks. She does best with structure, consistency, and positive guidance, which help her shine. Pixie is dog-friendly and does playgroups with other dogs at the rescue every day. She enjoys playful, confident dogs who appreciate a fun game of chase and don't mind her enthusiastic play style. She could do well with a compatible male dog, but she's equally happy being the center of attention as your one-and-only princess. A cat-free home would be best. Pixie really is a great girl and we could see her adapting in a multitude of types of homes. Pixie forms deep bonds with the people she loves and brings so much joy, laughter, and companionship to those lucky enough to know her. Pixie isn't just looking for a home—she's looking for a best friend. In return, she'll give you endless love, daily laughs, and a lifetime of loyalty. Watch her video and you’ll instantly realize your day just got 10x better because of her: Pixie is the kind who bonds deeply, loves hard, makes you laugh, and fills your home with warmth.
