Porky Piggy Pup is short, stocky, squishy, and VERY proud of it. With his giant blocky head, little white socks, permanent smile, and signature floor sploot, this handsome guy has the kind of face you just can’t take seriously. Porky is an incredibly confident and loving boy who thinks people are pretty much the greatest thing ever. He happily soaks up attention from everyone he meets and is comfortable being handled from head to toe. He’s affectionate without constantly being all over you, and despite being built like a tiny tank, he has a seriously sweet side. When another dog enters the picture, Porky turns into Mr. LET’S PLAY. He’s a rough-and-tumble kind of guy who loves running, wrestling, and getting rowdy with his friends. He especially clicks with larger, confident dogs who can match his enthusiastic bully-style play. He shares toys and human attention nicely and even patiently waits his turn for treats. And don’t let those little legs fool you. Porky can absolutely bring the party when he wants to! He has a nice medium energy level, though, so after getting his sillies out, he’s perfectly capable of clocking out and becoming a floor potato. Porky has previously lived with cats and could potentially live with another dog-savvy kitty with slow introductions and plenty of space for everyone. He has also lived in an apartment, is familiar with crate life, and walks right into his crate. This strong little meatball would especially appreciate people who understand bully breeds and will continue giving him structure while embracing all the goofy personality that comes with him. A larger, playful canine sibling could be an awesome match too. Porky is basically a giant personality on four very short legs. At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+.
