She's sweet, social, confident, wonderfully well-mannered, and just a tiny bit goofy—the kind of girl who's simply happy to be included in whatever everyone else is doing. At around 5 months old and approximately 37.6 lbs, Shiloh is a beautiful female Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix with plenty of growing left to do. She's dressed in the prettiest black-and-white coat, complete with snowy white legs, a white-tipped tail, and an adorable speckled face that gives her a look all her own. Pair those markings with her floppy ears and enormous happy smile, and Shiloh is one seriously photogenic puppy. But somehow, her personality is even better. Shiloh is an incredibly social and affectionate girl who enjoys people without needing to demand every second of their attention. She's confident meeting new friends, comfortable being handled, and has that wonderful go-with-the-flow personality that makes being around her feel easy. During her content session, it didn't take us long at all to fall completely in love with her. She's just one of those puppies. And Shiloh doesn't only love people—she loves dogs, too! She's currently fostered in a busy home with 10+ other animals, and one of the cutest things about her is how naturally she reads the room. If the other dogs are relaxing, Shiloh is perfectly content to relax alongside them. If somebody takes off running outside? Well, Shiloh is coming too! She'll happily run right behind or alongside her canine friends, joining the fun without needing to be the one controlling it. Her play style is gentle and social, making her a lovely candidate for a multi-dog household. She also shares treats comfortably and doesn't mind being touched while she's eating. Shiloh has even done well with cats, making her a cat-friendly and dog-friendly girl with experience living in a wonderfully busy foster environment. She does have an independent little toy routine that's almost too cute. Shiloh likes toys, but apparently playing with one wherever she happens to find it simply won't do. She'll choose her toy, carry it over to the couch, hop up, and then settle in to play with it there. Every girl needs her preferred workspace. Outside, Shiloh loves having room to stretch those growing legs. She'll happily run around and join the other dogs, but she doesn't need constant chaos to be content. That ability to match the energy around her is one of the things that makes her such a beautifully balanced young dog. For only five months old, Shiloh already has some fantastic everyday manners. She does great in her crate, rides wonderfully in the car, and is very easy on leash. She's also not a loud puppy. Between her manageable manners, adaptable personality, and ability to settle, Shiloh could even be a great candidate for apartment living with appropriate daily exercise and enrichment. Shiloh hasn't been formally kid tested yet, so we don't want to make promises we haven't verified. What we have seen is a remarkably friendly, gentle, social puppy who handles people and new experiences beautifully. We think those qualities give her wonderful potential for family life, with the same thoughtful, supervised introductions to young children that we recommend for any puppy. What really stands out about Shiloh is how uncomplicated her happiness seems to be. Give her some people to love. Give her friendly dogs to run alongside—or a couch to relax on when everybody else is sleepy. Toss in a few toys, some outside time, car rides, and plenty of affection, and Shiloh is perfectly happy being part of the day. She doesn't need to be the loudest puppy in the room. She doesn't need to be the center of everything. She just wants to be part of it.
