Zuko Roo has the looks of a handsome prince and the sense of humor of the friend who always has a joke to tell. Once he knows you, those little husky “woowoos” start coming out, and we’re pretty sure he has some very funny things to say. If only we spoke dog! Between his striking good looks, playful bounces, and the silly side he lets you in on, this boy makes it awfully easy to fall in love. Watch his video and fall in love with this handsome, silly boy: Zuko is approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 73 pounds. Our best guess is that he’s a German Shepherd/Husky mix, but with animal rescue, breed is always a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he is one gorgeous guy with plenty of personality to go with that handsome face. Zuko is extremely friendly and loves spending time with people. Get to know him, and you’ll discover that underneath those distinguished good looks is a playful boy who has plenty to say. His little “woowoos” and husky howls are part of his charm, especially when his silly side comes out. Imagine having this guy along for your everyday adventures, then coming home to relax together while he fills you in on his very important dog thoughts. Zuko is dog friendly and has done well with all of the dogs we’ve introduced him to so far. He likes a little time to get acquainted before jumping into play, but once he’s ready, the play bows and happy bounces come out! He enjoys running around, playing chase, and joining in on lighthearted wrestling matches. He can be vocal during play, too, because apparently a good time deserves a little commentary. He also knows when to take a break. Between rounds of fun, you’ll find him exploring the yard or getting loved on by his favorite person. If he joins a home with another dog, a happy-go-lucky, social buddy who enjoys playing and taking breaks would be a wonderful match. Zuko would also be just as happy as your one and only furbaby. He doesn’t need another dog to help him open up or keep him entertained, but he does need a home without kitties. Have a toy handy? Zuko is ready! He loves playing with toys, and a fun game of tug-of-war is especially high on his list. He also loves treats and is a smart guy, which makes additional training a lovely opportunity to spend time together, build your bond, and give him something fun to figure out. Zuko is crate trained and, from what we’ve seen so far, comfortable spending time in his crate. He also seems to understand where the appropriate potty places are and has not had any accidents in the house with us. He’s bringing some wonderful foundations with him as he gets ready for his next chapter. We believe Zuko would do best with a semi-active family who has some experience with, or knowledge of, his guessed breeds and a home with a backyard. We can picture him joining you for hikes, little adventures, and afternoons spent exploring, then settling in at home at the end of the day. A little fresh air, a good game of tug, and time with his people sound like his kind of life. All this handsome boy really wants is someone to love him and spoil him like the prince he is. If your days could use a little more adventure, a lot more love, and the occasional “woowoo,” Zuko might be just the boy to share them with. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
